Hi,
I'm shopping around for places to upload my stories: in this case mostly fanfiction based on Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.
The weird thing is while I saw the movie I haven't read the book nor seen a single Hulu episode, but that hasn't stopped me from spending 10s of hours writing fanfiction.
Where to post it on?
- w:Literotica? While there is some eroticism in it—a lot of it lesbian sex, they tend to edit stuff.
- w:FanFiction.net? They don't allow sex.
- w:Archive Of Our Own? Sounds promising but I like the wiki format for internal links. "While most countries recognized w:United States, fewer recognized Gilead and CAR."
- Starting a w:Mirahaze wiki of my own? I might, but I'd like to see how this works out.
- Starting my own wiki? I know next to nothing how.
In my canon-of-sorts (at least in my drafts):
- 2020 Trump is re-elected.
- 2024 Pence is elected.
- 2028 a leftist becomes president—as left as Bernie Sanders—and like him well into his 70s.
- very late 2030/very early 2031 Sons of Jacob take over.
- Like zombies—I doubt Atwood nor Hulu explains it—many Americans support Gilead, though the condition wears off after a few years.
- Atwood and Hulu might call them "rebels." Try Republic of Texas, Republic of California, and Republic of Florida. Russia pushes Gilead around in ways it couldn't US even under Trump. China wants its +$2 trillion in loans back. US says it can't pay and Gilead says it's not their problem. Chinese delegates are so mad they physically attack the Gileadan delegates.
What you say?
Cheers, :D

- While I typically don't allow erotic/sexual content, I guess you are free to do so as long as it does not contain explicit nudity or porn and if a page is going to include erotic content, put a warning saying that it contains such content. - But I guess, it would be best to start your own wiki. SapphireWilliams (talk page • contributions) 10:27, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- Oh wow: quick reply. Thanks. I was think of putting my stories in a number of sites, particularly the ones described. One tag I'm think of putting in AO3, is "tamer version on FanFiction.net." Are there spoilers possible here? As we're dealing with THT, there will be some sex, violence, and even a bit of gore—but I'll try to keep it R/PG-13.
One I'm working on consist of kick-ass women who want to go into Gilead to—if one will—"f--k s--t up." They're separatist lesbians who kiss a lot—hey, a few of their "sisters" have died as suicide bombers—life is short and you gotta go for it, but don't actually have sex in the story—though they might refer to it. It's mostly a road trip in a small "eye" vehicle they car-jacked (they have one of the "eyes" and "aunts" tied up in the trunk). Along the way they pick up a guy who's a bit like Liam Neeson. One of their leaders, Sister OfGaia, with artificial hand and eye, goes around topless, and creeps out the Gileadan wives shes about to have killed. Another is a commander unrelated and in another part of Gilead, who, yeah, is a h-r-y ------ who keeps a harem of handmaids when he's not backstabbing rivals. Another is a woman and friends who escape Gilead, stay in Canada for a while, and makes a new life in Alaska—not much sex—just hard work and gratitude. A lot of my content is description of my fictional states—along the lines of your Caribbean Empire.

- It might be a month or two before I start uploading. I'll try to work out a decent warning. Thanks.
- In my story, the US is smaller but has 60 stars!

- I'd say go for it. You don't need to censor everything as long as there isn't anything "hardcore". SapphireWilliams (talk page • contributions) 23:38, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

by the way, what namespaces should I use?
Happy New Years!
User subpages? [1]. I since created my own MH wiki and am thinking of pseudo articles going into mainspaces while creating a Narration: name space for narrations.DMBFFF (talk) 17:47, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
